In reply to Cheryl. Cheryl, Thank you for your comment. You are not doing anything incorrectly. My math was off when I was calculating the amounts for the chart at the end of this section. I’ve worked through row 8 of the pattern and have the required 48 DC. However, when I work row 10, I end up with 54 SC stitches. If I put 3 stitches in each end stitch and 2 in the center, the row increases by 6 stitches, for a total of 54 stitches. The pattern states I should have 52 SC stitches. What am I doing incorrectly?

I found the same thing!! I hadn’t seen it in many of the stores I go to, but I had seen this yarn in several shops online. I like to buy my yarn from the manufacturer when I can 🙂 I have a couple more skeins of this yarn in 2 other colors beyond what I used for this shawl. I do look forward to trying to make another fun design with it, but I haven’t yet gotten there… good thing yarn doesn’t go bad!! LOL. Thank you also for your kind words about my newsletters. Believe or not, this is the first time that I have heard of this Summer Nights yarn from Lion Brand until I received your email of the shawl . From your Lion Brand link, I checked out the colors and was pleasantly surprised.
I shop Joann’s and have not seen this line of Summer Nights in the larger stores ? Now that you have led me in the direction , I will be hooking a promised shawl following you with my hooks . 🙂
