Crochet is not just a winter activity!! There is more than making hats, scarves, and blankets! To prove it to you, I’ve collected crochet patterns for fun summer tops. You’ll find halters, tees, peek a boo shoulder tops, crop tops, and tank tops in beginner, easy, and intermediate skill levels! There is truly something for everyone in this crochet summer shirt collection.
What Yarn Should You Use?
Many of these summer top crochet patterns are made with light (dk) or medium (worsted) weight yarns. A lot of them also call for cotton fibers.
Pattern Choices
If you’ve ever seen a round up from me before you’ll know that I like to offer both paid and free crochet patterns in my round up. This one is no different. Sometimes the best patterns are paid, why discriminate over a few dollars?
Check out my Summer Shawl Crochet Pattern Round Up Here
I’ve even included a few crochet kits in here too because I’ve recently grown fond of kits. They send you the yarn and the pattern! No more having to shop and hope you get the right thing and enough to complete the pattern. It can’t get much easier than that!! AND most kits are offered in several color collections so you can choose your favorite.
I also make sure to offer a variety of beginner crochet patterns, easy crochet patterns, and intermediate crochet patterns. So you can choose something easy to watch Netflix with or you can challenge yourself. With these summer top crochet patterns the results will be stunning either way!
You’ll find the description for each top below the photo. Don’t worry all the patterns in the collection are organized by difficulty and I always tell you which are paid and which are free. If you’re not a person who likes to pay for a pattern, just choose a free one! (Although in my opinion, it can certainly be worth it to spring for the couple of dollars to get a premium pattern.)

How do I get the pattern for the top in the main picture ? Pink one with long sleeves?
Yvonne, Thank you for your comment. I’m not fully sure exactly which pattern you mean. However I have had to remove several patterns from this round up since it was published due to them not being available anymore. If you do not see the one you are looking for in the post itself it was likely removed due to no longer being available on the web. I’m sorry for any inconvenience. Have a great day! ~Caitlin
