Georgia, Thank you for your comment! I’m so glad to hear you like my pattern. You could certainly make this water balloon with a smaller hook and yarn. Obviously the end result will be smaller, but more importantly it also may not be as absorbent. The yarn this pattern is written with holds a lot of water and gives it more splash when it hits.
