Do you know a crochet or knitter who loves yarn? Do you want to get them a gift, but don’t want to get yarn? You must read this! A list of 20 unique gift ideas for yarn lovers, that are not yarn!
Who Are These Gifts For?
This list contains a few items specific to crochet (because that is what I know best, after all). But many of the gift ideas are great for knitters too and any other yarn loving craft you might be into!
With Mother’s Day coming up, this is the perfect list to help you decide a fun gift for mom that isn’t yarn. It can be hard to buy yarn for someone if you don’t know what they are making with it (or know nothing about yarn at all), so make it easier on yourself by reviewing the list below and choosing what you think she’ll like most.
But this list is useful also if you are looking for birthday gifts, holiday gifts, anniversary gifts, or just as an “I Love You” gift. A gift for no reason is such a nice kind to get, don’t you agree?
See something you like from the list? Get it for yourself or pass this post along to someone you know as a hint to help them gift something to you! After all, you don’t get what you don’t ask for…
Please share this list of gift ideas for yarn lovers to Facebook and Pinterest so you can easily get back to it for future inspiration, and so others can find it too!

Will you show how the pom-pom maker works? I have always use the old method and some times I had an uneven mess.
Mary, Unfortunately, I do not yet have a camera capable of doing good videos. However, I found this video on your tube and it does a great job at explaining how these pom pom makers are used. I hope it helps! Thanks for your comment. ~Caitlin

Hello Caitlin,
This is a great list of gift ideas for yarn lovers. Thanks for the ideas.
My first choice is the wooden yarn bowl. It is amazing just how far those balls of yarn can travel when they roll off your lap! They need a corral and the yarn bowl and would work well. Why the wooden one? Wood just feels warm and it’s another natural fiber.
Second choice; the yarny mugs. Everyone needs something to bring a smile to their face and it’s another way to show off your passion for YARN.
Third choice; if your Mother lives far away and you’re not quite sure what she would treasure, a gift card is a wonderful option. She can take her time to choose her gift and then she can send you a photo of her new item(s).
I’m really happy that your own Mother has taken up crochet and will share in your passion. What ever you choose for her will be a heart-felt gift I’m sure, even if it doesn’t have a yarn theme. 🙂
